Hello! I’m Erik, and I’m happy you’re here. Think of Paper Films as a weekly studio visit where I’ll be sharing handmade books and animations, along with the processes, inspirations, and insights behind them.

Why I Started This

To be honest, I’d been feeling burnt out on social media these past few years, so I created Paper Films as an ad-and-algorithm-free space—a place to experiment freely, share discoveries, and connect with people who love the process of making things as much as I do.

A Little About Me

I was born in NYC and now live in New Orleans with my wife, son, and our cat, Jack. I make art for a living, which has been my dream since I was a kid. Lately, I’ve been into half-frame film photography and the uncanny comics of Teddy Goldenberg—two things I’ll be posting more about soon!

Say Hello!

Feel free to say hi and introduce yourself in the comments. Who are you, and what are you into these days? Looking forward to getting to know you.
